Right Side of the Brain
My name's Alison.
I'm an animator, writer, and artist extrordinaire.
I like to write, draw, and animate kids with superpowers. You might say I'm a little obsessed with it.

Since I posted a WIP yesterday, I realized I have a few WIPs that I need to finish. Oh boy!

Will get to all of these once I finish work illustrations.

WIP put on hold because of work, but basically started because of a fun crossover friendship my friend and I have with our two tough mom characters. Bar brawling buddies, nice but sassy to the core, ass-kicking, colorful pasts, and, now, motorcycling tough chicks.
I will finish you soon my darling. Soon enough. These sassy, kickass moms will have their time.
Alissa’s getting there with the lineart. Have to do Raina (my friend’s character) too. There may or may not be motorcycles in this picture too (shh there will be).

The thrilling sequel to this. Now with fancy captions and more mighty lips! If you really want to see what’s being said, view the pic and zoom in!

I got really bored in my hotel room last night (internet-less, and done with homework and work for the night). So, this happened.

Sorry to all the casualties, which are mostly a collection of my and my friends’ characters. Plus Irene and Hercules.

Not all of the drawings are mine. Laurel-jay and Crisis drew some of these. And the top ones are from Princess and the Goblin and Hercules and Xena. Some  of these pics are from last year or older, too, so drawing styles have definitely changed.

I need to get back to actual drawing now.

Cover sample for upcoming children’s story The Global Sleepover: Sleepover at the World Cup in Brazil coming to iPad app stores in May, just in time for the World Cup! If you have young kids, siblings, or cousins who either love adventures around the world or love soccer, definitely pick up a copy!
The Global Sleepover is a fun interactive children’s series that follows four kids as they travel around the world, meeting friends, experiencing new cultures, solving problems, and learning how to be good global citizens. I’m doing all of the illustrations for this book too!

This was literally the biggest undertaking I have ever done in terms of illustration, mostly because of the massive amount of people needed. Some minor tweaks may be made to the illustration before publication.

Lineart of current WIP. I’m doing my own side projects to improve my skills during downtime from my digital drawings for work (will post those once the story is published).
Younger versions of my medieval characters in the snow. Three of them are from more tropic climates (India, Nigeria, and Hawaii) so seeing snow would be a rather exciting experience for them.
Been thinking about these cuties quite a bit lately and working with them probably more than I should be.

Original Characters Out of Character: Smutty Football

Original Characters Out of Character: Smutty Football

I can’t believe I forgot to post this! This is from Super Bowl Sunday, like, a month ago. Well, here it is now!
It has been a long while since the last OCOC comic. Probably because the gal I drew ‘em with and I graduated, so we can now only draw them on the occasions we see each other, and we’re normally preoccupied with catching up then!

I drew the first two panels, Laurel drew the next two,…

Start with football end with smut. Sounds about right.

Finished all the requests sent in for the OC ART MEME. Thank you to everyone who sent me a number request!

Time for explanations:

1. #8: In Fancy Clothes - Kendra, a Scottish noble from the 14th century. You would not believe how little info there is on Scottish Highland dress of the 14th century, so I took some liberties.

2. #9: Making 3 different expressions - My boy Alex. I’ve been meaning to draw and color him lately, and this provided the perfect opportunity.

3. #14: Doing something they don’t normally do - Theodore “Ted” Stolt and Renee “Shadowstrike” Renard. These two absolutely despise each other, so them being friendly with each other would definitely count as something they don’t normally do (plus I wanted to draw a goofy picture).

4. #19: Wearing a funny hat - Bad guy, General Apollo. Sadly, hats don’t fit on his big head, but he makes do, despite the fact that he isn’t a hat guy. Couldn’t think of one hat, so I made a gif with a few.
